Back to School Meet and Greet
A warm welcome for Eastbluff families to kick off the new school year and connect with teachers and staff.
Juice It Up Smoothie Thursdays
Cool Down Thursday! $5 Juice It Up smoothies (with a non-dairy option) after school every Thursday, starting September 3 — a portion of proceeds benefits the Eastbluff Foundation.
New Family Meet & Greet
Families new to Eastbluff are invited for a light breakfast and coffee to meet other new families — Friday, September 11, after the Otter Rally, at the home of Nicole & Todd Staley (address provided with your RSVP).

Eastbluff's family STEAM night — 20+ outside organizations host hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and math booths for students to explore. Thursday, September 24, 4:00–6:00 PM, with Kona Ice for all students and TK Burgers available for purchase.
Reflections Art Competition
The National PTA Reflections program invites Eastbluff students to create original work around this year's theme, “What My Culture Means to Me” — in dance choreography, literature, photography, film production, music composition, or visual arts. Kicks off September 25; winners announced October 19.
Literati Book Fair
A great big story adventure, October 19–23. The fair is open three times a day, every day that week: before school 7:50–8:15 AM, during lunch 12:20–1:20 PM, and after school 1:30–2:30 PM. Lunch shopping goes by grade level — 1st/2nd 12:20–12:40, 3rd/4th 12:40–1:00, 5th/6th 1:00–1:20 — and students finish eating and are dismissed from the lunch tables before they come over. Classes also visit with their teacher during the week. It's Conference Week, so the whole week is early out; shop before or after your conference. To make checkout easy, you can buy a cashless Literati gift card ahead of time for your student to use at the fair. There is also a bookmark contest — students get a template during their class library time, entries are due October 14, and one winner per grade receives a $15 gift certificate to spend at the fair.

Elf on the big screen at Big Newport (Edwards Newport Cinemas), Auditorium #2 — Wednesday, December 2. Arrive at 5:00 PM; the movie starts at 5:30. $10 per person, paid at the event by Venmo or Zelle, and concessions are available for purchase at the theater. Students must be accompanied by an adult. RSVP by Evite so we know how many seats to hold.
MLK Food Bank Community Service Project
A community service project honoring Dr. King's legacy by giving back through our local food bank.
Jog-a-Thon
Our school-wide fitness fundraiser — students get moving while raising support for Eastbluff programs.
Imagination Machine Assemblies
Interactive, imagination-sparking assemblies that bring creativity and learning to life for students.
Duffy Day on the Bay (adults only)
An adults-only evening on Newport Harbor — Saturday, November 7, 4:00–7:00 PM. A sunset cruise with dinner and drinks aboard the Duffy and stops at a few favorite docks along the bay. Our teachers and Principal Eby will be out in their own boat. Families who gave $600 or more per student through To The Top are already included; this evening is our thank-you and your tickets are covered. Everyone else is warmly welcome to come along at $75 per person.

Art Around the World Event
A celebration of art and culture that introduces students to creative traditions from around the globe.
6th Grade Events
A season of 6th grade traditions — including 6th Grade Camp, the 6th Grade Play, Cast Party, Friendsgiving, Beach Day & TK Truck, Kickball Game, Promotion & Brunch, Donut Salute, and more.
Fall Family Festival (Trunk or Treat)
Our fall community celebration — a festive Trunk or Treat with games, rides, and treats. Saturday, October 17, 4:30–7:00 PM at Eastbluff Elementary.
Family Glow with Love Dance
A glow-themed family dance — a joyful evening of music and community for Eastbluff students and their families.
Game Night
A family game night that brings students, parents, and staff together for a relaxed evening of fun and connection — and a chance to learn about the annual To The Top fundraiser.
Fall Festival & Trunk or Treat
Saturday, October 17, 4:30–7:00 PM at Eastbluff Elementary. Games, rides, treats, and a trunk or treat for the whole family. Wristbands and tickets are on sale now.

October 26–30. A week of making safe and healthy choices, with something different each day: fresh fruit at the front gate Monday, swag bags Tuesday, a quiet break in the school garden Wednesday, and Wear Red day Thursday — meet at Eastbluff Park (2401 Vista del Oro) at 7:45 AM to walk to school with the Newport Beach Police Department. Coffee for parents at drop-off.
Sensitive Solutions — 6th Grade Girls
A two-night Growth & Development class with Dr. Annette Dunn (“Nurse Netty”), November 3 and 17, 6–8 PM. Night one covers family values, goal setting, healthy decision making, puberty and hygiene, the female reproductive system, and menstruation. Night two covers male puberty, how the systems work, pregnancy, and growing into a successful woman. A parent must attend with their daughter. $200 for both nights — register at nursenetty.com and use code Eastbluff2026 at checkout.
Sensitive Solutions — 6th Grade Boys

Battle of the Books
An annual reading incentive and trivia competition for 4th and 5th graders — students read from the district's 16-book list and compete in school and district-wide quiz tournaments. Meetings are Tuesday mornings, 7:30–8:10 AM in the Otter Lab (starting mid-September). The Showcase is Wednesday, February 24, 11:00 AM–12:00 PM, and the competition is Tuesday, March 2, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM.

Teacher for the Day Event
A fan-favorite fundraiser where a lucky student earns the chance to be Teacher for the Day.
Spring Gala
The Foundation's signature spring fundraiser — an elegant evening of community and giving in support of Eastbluff students. This year's Bollywood Gala is Saturday, May 8.
Math Club
Think, solve, play, have fun — Rubik's Cube challenges and competitions, puzzles and brain teasers, problem-solving tasks, and friendly competitions. Open to 4th–6th graders. Math Club meets Fridays, 7:30–8:15 AM in Room E2. Come to the informational meeting on Friday, October 23, 7:30–8:10 AM in E2 to learn more, and use the link below to let them know your child plans to attend.

A creative problem-solving program where student teams tackle open-ended challenges with imagination and collaboration.

A family beach party to kick off summer — sand, sun, and community as the school year comes to a close.
Yearbook
The student yearbook team captures a year of memories, giving every Eastbluff family a keepsake to treasure.
Otter News
Eastbluff's student-run news program keeps the school community informed with announcements, stories, and school spirit.
Student Council
Student Council gives Eastbluff students a voice in school life, building leadership through service and school-wide events.
STARS Tutors
The STARS program provides extra academic support through peer mentors working under teacher guidance to help participating students succeed.
Eastbluff Band
The Eastbluff Band brings music to campus, giving students the chance to learn an instrument and perform together.
